Representation of Ukraine on the international club arena will not change - 5 national clubs will start playing next season.
Ukrainian football will be represented in the UEFA Champions League by two best teams. FC Dynamo Kyiv, as a champion, will start immediately from group tournament (first round is scheduled for the 13th and the 14th of September and the draw will determine the rivals of FC Dynamo on the 25th of August). Silver medalist – FC Shakhtar Donetsk – in order to get among 32 teams, in the main phase of the competition had to go through two qualifying rounds by "Non-champions path", where there will play the teams from the first 15 countries by UEFA club rating. Donetsk team will begin its next trip to continental tops in the 3rd qualifying round (its matches will be held on the 26th-27th of July and on the 2nd-3rd of August). The draw for our vice-champion is scheduled for the 15th of July.
3 teams from Ukraine got to the UEFA Europa League, one of which has the right to be free from qualifying round. Since Ukrainian Cup has been taken by FC Shakhtar, which will play in another tournament, such a privilege would have been given to the bronze medalist. However, FC Dnipro will not play there because of its one year disqualification from participation in European competition. So for the first time in the history FC Zoria Luhansk got in the group stage. The team of Yuriy Vernydub will play its first match on the 15th of September, and the names of the opponents will be named on the 26th of August. Fourth and fifth teams by the results of Pari-Match League 2015/16 season will play from the 3rd qualifying round (on the 28th of July and on the 4th of August, this stage’s draw will be held on the 15th of July). In order to get among the 48 participants of the main round of UEFA Europa League, FC Vorskla Poltava and the debutant of international competition FC Oleksandriia must overcome 2 opponents.
